Community-inline The Arvada Chamber of Commerce paid tribute to Mahnke Auto Body Arvada as their 2010 Business of the Year

Mahnke Auto Body was recognized at the Arvada Chamber’s annual dinner for its decades long commitment to the Arvada community. For over forty years, Mahnke Auto Body has provided collision repairs and auto body paint to generations of families, while simultaneously creating a continual source of employment for many Arvada citizens.

When Mahnke’s doors opened in 1975, the collision repair business was on the cusp of change. Huge advancements in car design, materials, and computer technology were on the horizon. Before the 1970’s, shops did not customarily give written warranties, but Mahnke Auto Body stepped up and was among the first to offer a limited Lifetime Warranty on all repairs and auto body paint.

Mahnke Auto Body was also among the first to take steps to protect the environment from exposure to industry pollutants; implementing safety and training procedures before OSHA was actively involved. Gary Mahnke served on a panel of shop owners for the Colorado Health Department Board, helping to write the rules for best practices in auto body shops. Gary was also President of ASA, Automotive Service Association of Colorado, and on the National Board of SCRS, Society of Collision Repair Specialists.

When it comes to the community, Mahnke supports local schools and youth sports, as well as Eagle Scout projects, and church projects. For many years, Mahnke has participated in the Arvada Festival Parade, Historic Olde Town Arvada, and Arvada Chamber of Commerce events. Mahnke is an advocate of Hope House, Ralston House, The Jeffco Prosperity Project, Hands of the Carpenter, and Hands Automotive, and is very active in the Arvada Wheat Ridge Service Ambassadors for Youth. AWRSAY provides scholarships to students who have overcome adversity for High School and Middle School students.
